Chianti Classico/Super Tuscan 3 Winery Tour

Our wine tour with the charming Vittorio was truly the highlight of our honeymoon in Italy. We traveled to three vineyards in Tuscany and Vittorio taught us a number of things about the region between stops. At the first vineyard, Vittorio walked us through the proper technique for wine tasting. Now...I'm sure everyone has gone through this in other wine tours they've attended (as have we), however in this particular tour we were taught each of the required steps for sampling/tasting in so much detail which included a number of items we had never been taught to consider. Up until this tour I'm convinced we've never truly tasted wine properly. The other couple on our tour had also been on a number of wine tours in Napa Valley and had the same feedback. In the second vineyard we visited we had wonderful views of Tuscany and the most delicious (and filling) homemade lunch we could have asked for. The final vineyard we visited (Ruffino) was on a beautiful property and we were given a wonderful tour with a lot of history. Overall our experience on this day trip was spectacular and we were able to sample some of the most incredible wines in Italy. We highly recommend this day trip to anyone visiting Florence - it is completely worth the money. Thanks so much Vittorio for being such a wonderful host!
